Hi all I bought this box a few days ago, I was wondering about age and what it was used for, I was wondering if it was used for ashes .

Does the opposite side have the same grooves inside? Paneled inside?

The ridges don’t go all the way through I put a pic up
I put a pic of a tea caddy up looks very similar
It looks like it’s a Georgian Tea caddy without the boxes inside, do u agree
