world war 2 dispatch riders coat

i got the dispatch riders coat in a army surplus store in the 1960s it was new then but i used it a lot when i was on my backhoe digger in bad whether,it was made in 1944 the bottom of the coat straps between your legs and makes leggings.it is getting old and dirty is it worth keeping are put it in the dust bin.
