Antique stoneware Barrel

Hello I’ve just rediscovered this lovely large Barrel shaped stoneware jar , I have never Rea looked at it before as been in a box for years, only most probably looked at it briefly, now because I spent a little bit of time looking at stoneware, I’ve realised this actually shows signs of old age, looks very well made with interesting design and clay looks unusual and could be a clue to what or where this is from, might help with age, I guess this was once in someone’s collection, looks like it once had a lid to it, but by patina I’d say lid has maybe been missing for many years, I hope a expert sees this,
